Introduction


Polyethylene terephthalate(PBT) is a kind of engineering plastics with excellent properties. It has good mechanical properties, electrical insulation, heat resistance, weatherability, chemical resistance and excellent molding properties. Modified PBT are widely used in Automobile, Electronics, Lighting, IT and Communications industries.

Characteristics of PBT resin

1.It's easy to be molded with fast crystallization.                                                                                                                               
2.With melting point around 225℃, it provides excellent heat resistance.                                                                                                       3.After reinforced by fiber glass, mechanical strength is increased.                                                                                                                
4.It has low moisture absorption and excellent size stability                                                                                                                        
5.Its low friction coefficient enables good anti-abrasion property.                                                                                                                       
6.It is highly resistant to chemicals, solvents and weatherproof.                                                                                                                   
7.It offers excellent flexural property                                                                                                                                                 
8.With further processing, it can be upgrade to flame-retardant grade to match higher requirement.                                                                     9.With high permittivity,its electrical properties is further enhanced.                                                                                                               
10.It can be welded by supersonic, so assembly is greatly simplified.
