Manual tongs are conventional tools for making up and breaking out connections of tubular goods, from light tubing to heavy wall drill pipe or drill collar. Manual tongs manufactured by us covers pipe sizes from 2⅜" to 25½", and varies in torque capacity from 35kN·m to 90kN·m. Manual tongs are loaded when in service, line pull on lever should be at a right angle to axis of lever, and tong dies must be fully engaged, not to exceed the rating torque on manual tongs at any time. Any manual tongs are cast from high quality alloy steel, heat-treated and MPI tested, and toque test for manual tongs are always 1.5 times of the rating torque.
All manual tong parts are made from high-grade alloy steel, heat-treated for toughness of manual tongs and MPI inspected.
As per torques and size range, there are four types manual tongs: Q 3⅜~12¾/75manual tongs, 3½~17/90 manual tongs, Q 2⅜~10¾/35 manual tongs, Q 13⅜~30 /35 manual tongs, each type of manual tongs are recommended interchangeable lug jaws to handle different sizes of pipes, any manual tongs can be assembled by removing the hanger and turning the complete tong over.
