Technology:The PointScreen technology is based on the principle of Electric Field Sensing (EFS): the dynamics of the body—such as gestures and movement—are measured and digitally registered. This new form of interactive communication enables the use of gestures for real-time navigation and interaction. This innovative paradigm of HCI technology enables the production of touchless input-systems that are cost-effective and easy to maintain, with design flexibility.
Application: Of particular advantage is the flexible and low-maintenance design for the implementation of information systems in the public area, for instance as POI (Point of Interest) at trade shows, fairs or exhibitions, in edutainment and advertising, in rehabilitation. Patients recovering from injury can now practice certain sequential movements independently, and train specific muscle groups.
air-point is based on the principle of “Electric Field Sensing”. It enables users to navigate through virtual environments without touching, wiring or switching.
Air-point reacts to changes of the electrostatic field that is influenced by the electrical vibrations received from the user’s body, constituting a new paradigm in interface technology.
With Air-point technology the dynamic, gestures and movements of the body can be measured and digitized. Data tracking the position, movement and speed of the gestures are applied in real-time navigation and interaction.
