The material
High-quality bitumen, coated on both sides on a carrier layer of heavy glass fiber forms the main component of the guttatec bitumen shingles. The bitumen mass gets spread and fastened owing to the glass fiber; moreover, the fiber increases the deformation resistance and stability of the shingles. A colored mineral granulate is used for the uppermost covering layer.
Tough and permanently sealed
KTYU bitumen shingles are laid as a double cover on a solid wooden construction. In the case of the double covering, the third truss must overlap the first. Shingles are fastened with nails and self-adhesive strips. The result is a permanent and weather-resistant fastening. KTYU bitumen shingles are durable and provide the maximum protection from rain, snow, frost, heat and UV rays. .
Application areas
Shingles have been in use all over the world for more than 100 years for roof covering. Bitumen shingles are suitable for many kinds of roofing, from a garden house to a luxury villa.
Properties
Shingles can be easily laid, because they are easy to lay and to cut.
