This air preheater hotspot detecting system is a supporting equipment for air preheater which can measure the outlet gas temperature of the air preheater and forecast fire. When the outlet gas temperature is higher than that in normal running, the system sends a signal to the main control room of electric station at once, indicating the fire probability. At this moment the operators must pay attention to the outlet gas temperature especially and observe the progress, and take action to avoid fire. If the temperature is increasing to ignite point, they must start fire fighting water at once (or use wash pipe) and shut off the fan at the same time. When the system is running, it can display the actual temperature of the gas outlet on the A or B side at n (n/2 each) positions to the universal multi-channel scanner and controller in the control cabinet correspondingly. When the gas outlet temperature exceeds the setting value or the thermocouple has malfunction, it can give an alarm indicator and send an alarm signal.
