Safety: When broken, tempered glass is to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. 3. Thermal stability: Comparing to the float or annealed glass, Tempered glass can endure the difference in temperature 3~5 times. It can withstand 250℃ difference in temperature. |

About heat soaked
As everyone knows, tempered glass is always with 0.3% possibilities of self-destruction. People will be hurt when tempered glass is exploded.
Heat soak process help to solve this problem. Most of building and outdoor glass will demand the heat soak treated.
The following applications should be considered for heat soaking:
Structural Balustrades.
Infill Balustrades – if fallout is an issue.
Sloped Overhead Glazing.
Spandrels – if not Heat Strengthened.
Structural Glazing with Spider or other fittings.
Commercial Exterior Frameless Glass Doors.
Europe standard EN14179-1:2005 and Chinese GB 15763.4 have introduced the details about heat soaked thermally tempered glass.
The heat soak process system of tempered glass and its calibration test is according to EN14179-1:2005
