The thrust ball bearing is composed of housing washer,shaft washer and cage with balls. The one fitted to the shaft is called shafef washer,the one fitted to the housing is called washer.
The thrust ball bearing is classified as single directional thrust ball bearing and bidirectonal one is accordance with the circumstances of application of load.
The single directional thrust ball bearing can bear single directional axial load; whereas the bidirectional thrust ball bearing can bear bidirectonal axial load.For the bidirectional thrust ball bearing, the center shaft washer is fitted to the shaft.
When the mounting face of the housing washer of the bearing takes the form of sphere, the bearing has self-aligning performance. Thus the effect on the mounting errors can be reduced .The thrust ball bearing can not bear radial load. Its limiting speeds are relatively lower.
