Thread Wireline Drill Rods Heat Treatment BC BQ Type With Through Wall
Description:
This wire line rod is the equipment that connects the drilling tools and drilling bits, and it is mainly used to transmit power. It mainly consists of a tubing body and two thread ends.
The function of the wire line drill rod :
(1) To transfer torque and rotation from the core drill rig to the drill bit;
(2) To transfer the lifting and pull forces;
(3) To serve a distribution line for the flushing water;
(4) To serve as a distribution line for the inner tube assembly.
A wire line drill rod has a box thread in one end and a pin thread in the other end. Right handed threads are commonly used. The threads are cut directly in the tubing and special separate drill rod couplings are not necessary. Thanks to this ,so called flush jointed design,the wire line drill rods have an even and o constant inner diameter which is a precondition for hoisting the inner tube assembly.The threads are surface treated and the rod is heat treated in order to prolong the life of the wire line rods.
Every wire line dimension requires a matching set of wire line drill rods .i.e.if you change from drilling a B-size core barrel to an other size ,meanwhile you must also exchange the size of wire line rods.
