Specifications of Plate Magnets
Plate magnets are an inexpensive form of magnetic protection against occasional tramp iron contamination.They are usually installed within a chute or over a conveyor for the food and ceramic industry. Plate magnets are constructed from a magnetic stainless steel casing, having projected magnetic stainless steel poles.
The Plate Magnets itself is made from strontium ferrite, providing excellent magnetic separation for standard duties. We can also offer a plate magnet made from neodymium iron boron or similar rare earth materials for specialised applications, such as the removal of fine iron from powders. To extract metal from deeper burdens and increased throughput rates Master Magnets can also provide a dual deep field separator. All plate magnets are virtually maintenance free, offering a long service life not affected by wet conditions.
