How many Dermapen treatments are needed?
Your medical professional can consult you on a prescribed treatment. Different skin conditions need specific treatment regimens,  as well as being affected by the age of each patient. 2-3 aggressive Dermapen treatments will provide a noticeable difference,  however 5-6 Dermapen treatments will show the most dramatic results. It is important to work with your practitioner on what  treatment specifics to observe. Once the treatment has the desired effect, it is important to maintain collagen stimulation by    returning to your practitioner, or performing a new Dermapen treatment every 12-24 weeks.

Does a Dermapen treatment hurt?
There are two treatments for Dermapen. One treatment involves the use of cream to numb the area, followed by more aggressive, deep  use of Dermapen. The second treatment involves using Dermapen at a shallower depth and numbing cream is not needed. You may find  temporary redness of the skin for up to a day, depending upon the skin and type of treatment. Specially formulated creams can be  used before and after a Dermapen treatment to minimize this.

 How quickly are results visible?
  Visible results of skin rejuvenation are generally seen after just 6-8 weeks following the procedure and improve further over time.  A course of Dermapen sessions is usually recommended to achieve optimum results; however skin improvement is noticeable after just  one treatment.       

Is Dermapen safe?
Skin needling does not involve injections and therefore allergic reactions and side-effects are unlikely to occur. It is minimally     invasive, involves minimal downtime (circa 24 hrs), rapid healing and requires simple after-care.

 Are there any side effects or risks associated with skin needling?
Side effects experienced with Dermapen will usually subside within 48 hours. They include erythema, stinging, itching, tightness  of the skin.
