Description:DCP is white rhombus crystal, insoluble in water, dissolving in alcohol, ether, benzene, cumene and other organic solvents. It is of high vacuum. Specific gravity D (20,4) is 1.0481. It is mainly decomposed into acetophenone and dimethyl carbinol. Specifications: 1) Active oxygen content: 5.8% 2) Decomposing temperature: 120oC 3) Half-life period: 1min at 180oC, 1hr at 135oC, 10hrs at 116oC As excellent organic peroxide, DCP may serve as an initiator for polymerization, a vulcanizing agent, a crosslinking agent, or a solidifying agent, all of which have been found extensively applied to the manufacturing of macro-molecular materials such as rubberwares, polyolefin and foamed plastics. And all these materials are extremely useful in PE cable insulating and shoe-making industries. It is also a suitable additive for flame-retarding coatings.
