The 2008 TaylorMade Burner Tour Fairway Wood features Dual Crown Technology that weighs less than a typical crown. Saved weight is redistributed to give the 2008 Burner Tour a 17% lower CG (center of gravity) than the previous Burner, promoting a higher launch and higher flight for more carry and distance. Meanwhile, the fast-looking triangular shaped head permits an even lower CG placement, making it even easier to get a solid launch.
♦ Largest size and footprint of any TaylorMade steel fairway woodz with a high Moment of Inertia for increased forgiveness on off-center hits
♦ Dual Crown saves weight in the clubhead to lower the CG and promote more carry and distance (17% lower CG than previous Burner TP fairway model)
♦ Triangular head shape (same as the Tour Burner Driver) permits ultra-deep CG location, more forgiving and easier to launch
♦ SuperFast 70-gram graphite shaft with an Arrow 2 ultra-light 47-gram grip promotes faster swing speed for increased distance
The Burner Steel Fairway Wood features SuperFast Club Technology to give an extremely light total weight combined with a ight and long shaft to promote faster swing speed for added power. A large steel clubhead has the highest MOI of any fairway wood in golf (30% higher than the r7 steel) which gives tremendous forgiveness for long, straight results on off center hits. The Steel Pull Face Construction equals a higher COR promoting faster ball speed for increased distance. Shallow clubface design means lower and farther back CG position for easy to launch high and long.
