High strength micro-optical cable is gernerally composed by three parts of the tight set optical fiber, strengthening layer, and outer sheath.

Different reinforced materials determine the different tensile strength of optical cable.
The refinforced materials of nonmetal strengthened structural micro-optical cable generally use high strength fiber.
The tensile strength, modulus, impact energy absorption, transformation performance,abrasion resistance, and bending fatigue resistance properties are higher than Kevlar fiber, and the elongation, density, monofilament diameter is close to Kevlar fiber.
PBO fiber tensile strength and elastic modulus is fully beyond of aramid fiber. In the micro-optical cable tensile strength highly demanding special environment, high performance PBO weaving casing pipe is currently the best performance reinforced material.
