Use instructions as per EN-12915-2

1. When selecting and using RLB-LIFT web lashings, the required lashing capacity, use pattern and the

nature of load should be taken into consideration to guarantee security. Size, shape and weight of the load,

together with the intended using method, transport environment and the nature of load will affect the

choose. As for stability, free-standing units of load have to be secured with at least one pair of web lashing

for frictional lashing and two pairs of web lashings for diagonal lashing.

2. The selected RLB-lift web lashings shall both be strong enough and chosen with correct length for use.

Good lashing practice should always be followed: planning the fitting and removal operations of lashing

before starting a journey. You should keep in mind that parts of the load may have to be unloaded during

longer journey. Figure out the number of web lashings according to EN 12195-1:2000. only those web

lashings designed for frictional lashings with STF on the label are to be used for frictional lashing.

3. Because of different behaviors and elongations under load conditions, different lashing equipment

(e.g. Lashing chain and web lashing) shall not be used to lash the same load.

Ancillary fittings (components) and lashing devices in the load restraint shall also be taken into

consideration. Assembly is compatible with the web lashing.

4. When using flat hooks, you shall pay attention to the complete width of the bearing surface of the hooks.

5. Unlocking of the web lashing: Take carefully to ensure that the stability of the load is independent to

lashing equipment. When unlocking the web lashing, it shall not lead to fall from vehicles or hurt people.
