Product introduction
Lacquer Thread Sculpture (LTS)is a tranditional artware of China. Expecially in Xiamen, the southeast city of Fujian Province. Lacquer ware in China has 7, 000 years old, and the LTS also has more than 300 years old. At that time the artware only collected in the temple or the royal family.
Nowadays, the LTS is being a national gift sent to the overseas guests. Not only its invaluable but also the glorious. The main steps of making the LTS as follows:
1. Preparing the material: the main material of LTS is lacquer and the special brick powder. The lacquer is from chinese lacquer trees. It is said that only you walked more than one hundred miles road and cut thousands of blades that you can get 50g lacquer.
2. Twisting thread: mixed the lacquer and the powder, hitting for a couple of hours, and then twisting into a line which as thin as a piece of hair.
3. Working process: strip, plate, entangle, pile, carve, enchase, engrave, about dozens of working procedures. Coil around each kind of essence on the utensil to float the shape just as dragon, phenix, hawk, peony, scenery, lily, rabbit and many kinds of mascot.
4. Gilding the surface: gilded 24K 98.9% pure gold.
