Heterocyclic alkylpyridines ring N has a pair of lone electrons. Combining benzene ring structureit makes N becomes active group and can absorb on metal surface by staticabsorbance and form coordinate bond. On the ring alkyl groups is non polargroup. These groups among molecules form a hydrophobicity absorbance layer bycohesion etc. This absorbance on metal surface to separate corrosive media andmetal surface and prevent anode process or cathodic process happens. After quatprocess it contains quat positive ion and make it more easy to absorb on themetal surface to form the film and have good corrosion inhibition function.
