1. The basic design of plummer block bearing units is one Y-bearing(insert bearing, which is a single row deep groove ball bearing with convex sphered outside) + a plummer block housing(which has a correspondingly sphered but concave bore).
2. The plummer block bearing units are available in various different designs and materials as standard. There are main three types of materials for the housing: composite material, grey cast iron, sheet steel.
3. The plummber block bearing units are secured on the shaft via the bearing inner ring by: (1). grub screws(UCP/UCLP Series); (2). eccentric locking collar with grub screw(NAP/NALP Series); (3). adapter sleeve (UKP/UKLP Series)
4. There are also main three types of seals for the units: standard seals, standard seals with plain flinger and the standard seals with rubberised flinger for arduous operatiing conditions.
