Application

Modacrylic and cotton blend fabrics are used primarily in applications where environmental resistance or flame retardancy is necessary or required. Modacrylic has the ability to combine flame retardancy with a relatively low density, meaning protective gears made from modacrylic and cotton blend fabrics are not uncomfortably heavy.

The combination of flame retardancy and low density is also useful in furnishings, draperies, and outdoor fabrics.

Warning

Because of the presence of static dissipative fiber, antistatic performance of this fabric is not dependent on ambient relative humidity. It is important to know that this fabric is designed to combat nuisance static only. It should not be used in critical static control applications.

Washing Tips

Machine washed in warm water and add fabric softener during the final rinse cycle.

If dryer is used, use low setting and remove articles as soon as tumbling cycle has stopped.

If ironing is required, use low setting. Never use a hot iron.
