Fineness Changes : An easy adjustment.

Within limits, changes in the size of fines produced by a N.N.Zoubov Engineers air separator can be made anytime; there is no need for production shutdowns. These changes are made by mechanically altering the position of the control valve rods located on the perimeter of the outside drum. Inside, these valve rods activate plates that change the selective capacity of the selector blades by forming a diaphragm of variable diameter over them.

For greater changes in fineness, the number of selector blades may be altered or replaced with blades of different sizes. Shutdowns required to make these changes are minimal owing to the convenient accessibility of interior parts that N.N.Zoubov Engineers designs in to its machines.

When desired, an automatic remote fineness control is available. This is composed of an actuator placed on each control valve. These are operated by a central control panel, which can receive its inputs from instruments monitoring output particle size. It is an arrangement especially useful for systems where the grinding unit operates automatically.
