Oil&Water Treatment
Fabrics that are treated with an oil&water retardant chemical to make them oil&water repellent. The fibers used in these fabrics, such as cotton are not normally considered protective and become oil&water repellent because of the treatment.
Drotex®’s oil&water repellent treatment includes an ultra-low formaldehyde solution, and are nearly free from harsh chemicals.

Water repellency and water resistance introduce a lot more uncertainty.
Water repellency is the resistance to wetting (absorbing water).
Water resistance is the resistance to wetting and water penetration.
A water-repellent fabric will probably keep you dry if you are out in the rain for just a few minutes.A water-resistant fabric may also keep you dry temporarily and it will be more breathable than waterproof fabric, but water will eventually soak in, making the fabric heavy and wet.
