1. Konson Gabion Box and Reno Mattress.
GABIONS (Higher than 1m in height) and MATTRESSES (Less than 1m in height) consist of rectangular units, fabricated from a double-twisted hexagonal mesh.
Filled with stones, gabions become large, flexible and permeable elements from which a broad range of structures may be built. Gabions and mattresses are widely used for hydraulic and geo- technical control such as retaining walls, riverbank protections, weirs, channel linings etc.
Filled with stones at the river bank or seaside, it can be used to stop flood, and prevent the rock on the mountain from falling. Steel wire used is hot-dip galvanized or galfan(zinc 95%, aluminum 5%). If it is required, 0.5 mm PVC is then coated on the galvanized/galfan wire to provide protection when used in aggressive environment.
2. Specification:
Hot dip galvanized gabion box is the most common and most practical kind used in the project.To fill with stones at the river bank or seaside to stop flood, on the mountain prevent rock falling. We mainly export gabions to Western Europe, Mid-South America, Southeast Asia, and etc.
Steel wire used in the manufacture is hot-dip galvanizing or galfan(zinc 95%, aluminum 5%). If it is required, 0.5 mm thick PVC is then coated on the galvanized/galfan wire to provide added protection for use in aggressive environments with acidic soils and water, in salt or fresh water or wherever the risk of corrosion is present. In order to reinforce the structure, the edge wire has a greater diameter than the mesh wire.The gabion box is divided into units by means of diaphragms positioned at approximately 1m centres.
