They are designed for areas where minimal dehumidification is required with low air flow circulation or draft free conditions. Low air flow in the gravity coolers maintains the weight loss of products as minimal. Flower and food preparation rooms, perishable good stores are examples of common operating areas for these units.
It is advised for gravity coolers to be used in +2°C and above cold room temperatures. Below these temperatures, using drip tray and electrical defrost elements is recommended.
