EIUa (32 - port E1/T1 circuit Interface Unit REV: a) : 32 E1/T1 TDM Interface board version a.EIUa veneer selection box is inserted in the MPS, EPS, TCS, configuration number according to the need to make sure.

EIUa veneer configuration in the MPS in box 14~23 slots; EIUa veneer configuration in the EPS/TCS in box 14~27 slot.

EIUa veneer BSC6900 provide foreign E1/T1 interface. The main function of EIUa veneer is as follows:

› Provide 4 E1/T1 electrical interface, used for TDM transmission.

› Provide 32 E1/T1 transceiver and decoding function, the E1 transmission rate of 2.048 Mbit/s, T1 transfer rate of 1.544 Mbit/s.

› Provide the LAPD (Link Access Procedure on the D channel) protocol processing function.

› Provide the SS7 MTP2 agreement processing functions.

› Provide board level branch Protect rearrangement of TPS (Tributary Protect Switch) function.

› Provide the TCS maintenance plug box out configuration link function.

› Support A and Abis, Ater, Pb interface.
