Clean the Spray Gun
After use, always clean the spray gun because any paint left in the pipes solidifies and renders the pump useless. To prevent this, simply run solvent (for oil-based paint) or water (for latex paint) through the paint reservoir until the nozzle consistently sprays clear onto a piece of cardboard. Taking this extra step prolongs the working life of the sprayer and means it is always ready for the next project.
