CCD, i.e. Charge Coupled Device, is composed of a series of very close MOS capa-citor, A new semi-conductor integrate optic-electronic device was developed from early 1970s,The electric charge is to be a main signal for CCD, which is different from most others with current or voltage as signal (such common optic-electronic color sorters).CCD image sensor with both functions of optic-electronic conversion and storage, transmission and readout of signal charge can achieve unidimensional scanning of detected target and readout of signal by addition of a group of sequential pulse for drive control.CCD have been widely applied to daily production and life due to its real-time transmission of optic-electronic conversion signal, high speed of self scanning, high frequency response, ability to achieve dynamic measurement and ability to work under low intensity of illumination. JT-CCD color sorters are truly CCD material sorting equipment through digital signal processing successfully developed based on the optic-electronic color sorters of our company due to this feature and advantage of CCD.
