· Back up rollers’ materials are 45Cr4NiMoV, 50Cr5MoV, 40Cr3MoV, 9Cr2Mo, 70Cr3Mo, 70Cr3NiMo, 55Cr, 35CrMo, and 70Cr3Mo is the most important material. On some high-speed overloaded rolling mill, back up roller use even 50 Cr4MoV and 45 Cr5MoV as material. Resist fatigue properties and wear resistance are more important. Higher alloy elements and low carbon content are its development directions.

Production processes: molten steel smelting –ingot- forging- heat treatment -machining-eventually heat treatment-finishing machining, etc.
