Technology Applied In XD Movie TheatersThe technology used in XD cinemas comprises of huge screens covering from one side of the wall to the other as well as top to bottom. The screens are powered by digital projection technology referred to as 4K technology meaning extremely high picture clarity with the projector achieving up to 8 megapixels of picture clarity. The pictures are relayed through powerful servers that match the picture quality required. The sound system of XD movie theaters comprises of realD 3D technology which refers to the a picture quality improvement by enabling circular distribution of the lighting system to allow the audience to turn their heads to other sides from the screens and not see darkened images. Another key innovation of the XD cinema theaters is the incorporation of special effects while viewing the movies to rhyme with the scene being shown on the screen. The inclusion of elements such as rain, misting systems, earth quakes in the movie theater has created an exceptional experience. A scene on the movie that has earthquakes is interconnected to the movie theater system to cause a vibration in the theater room’s misty environment on the movie prompts mist to be released in the XD cinema theater and even most recently scenes for actors walking in the bush have been mimicked by brushes that sweep the feet. All these effects have been designed to enhance the customer’s experience. These innovations require special construction of the theater hall to accommodate these features.
