Monel 400 is a versatile corrosion resistant alloys, in both oxidizing and reducing environments with acid and alkali metal corrosion, high nickel alloy composition having an effective resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
Monel 400 corrosion resistance in various media are good, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid and an organic acid, an alkali metal such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solution. Higher overall performance in a variety of corrosive media, nuclear burning dissolver, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide are treated in the same device.
