SUKAMy MED functions as a starch modifying agent with unique advantages and is applicable to various kinds of paper pulp processes. Surface sizing agent for paper production is usually oxidized starch. The main disadvantages of traditional method of modifying oxidized-starch are high cost, difficulties in controlling oxidation process and causes environmental pollution among others. These problems can easily be easily worked around by the use of SUKAMy MED to modify starch behavior without modifications to operation equipment. SUKAMy MED is an amylum conversion enzyme derived from the submerged fermentation of Bacillus subtilis. Aside from its use in paper industry, SUKAMy MED can also find applications in textile industry, brewery, alcohol production, making of starch sugar and many more. SUKAMy MED is available in three liquid preparations: • SUKAMy MED 2 (with Activity of 2,000 U/ml) • SUKAMy MED 4 (with Activity of 4,000 U/ml) • SUKAMy MED 8 (with Activity of 8,000 U/ml)
