When the star stringers are placed and hooked on the horizontal, CUPLOCK STAIR TREAD will be placed and secured on the stair stringers, (when place on the brackets, they will be secured automatically) which are for workers stepping up and down. The stair treads are punched and some saw-raise on top, which can improve the friction and reduce sliding when workers step up and down.

One Cuplock Standard node point enables up to 4 components to be fastened at once just with one hammer. The locking device is formed by two cups, a fixed bottom cup that is welded to the standard at pre-located 0.5m intervals, top cup can slide up and down within the restricted range. Locate the blade end of the ledgers into bottom cup, drop down and rotate the top cup to secure the component in place, then tighten with the hammer.
