Carriage Bolt

Carriage bolt is a threaded fastener type designed for use with wood, although specialized versions can also be used to fasten metal components. Also known as plow or lag bolt, carriage bolts can be found in many hardware stores in a variety of lengths, diameters and thread pitches. They are usually of different types of steel with high strength and durability, although other materials may also be used.
