Test andTroubleshoot Faster

The HP 8920Adecreases test and troubleshooting time by simplifying standard measurementtasks and providing extensive capability in one box.   Transmitters andreceivers are simply characterized with single-key RX, TX, and duplextests.  Measured results are displayed on a single screen as eitherdigital measurements or analog bar graphs.  All settings and measurementsare easily accessed and changed using the front-panel knob, and all settingscan be saved in nonvolatile save/recall registers or on a SRAM card media forfuture access.

Spectrum Analyzer with Tracking Generator and Adjacent Channel Power

The HP 8920A'soptional synthesized spectrum analyzer measures signals from 400 kHz to 1 GHzwith variable spans from 5 kHz to 1 GHz (full span).   Display resolutionis selectable from 1, 2, or 10 dB per division.  The tunable markerprovides automatic readout of frequency and amplitude, or of relative frequencyor amplitude from a reference.  The tracking generator included with thespectrum analyzer allows for swept characterization of devices with fullysettable amplitude and sweep spans (to 1 GHz).  The newly added adjacentchannel power measurement capability includes both variable bandwidths andvariable frequency offsets.   Typical performance is -70 dBc.
