70 degree PVA Water Soluble Yarn
It can take place of the normal yarn in hosiery manufacturing. It can be knitted between two socks which are going to be separated, sparing the traditionally indispensable separating process conducted by an automatic separator or a special cutter. Water-soluble PVA filaments can be used as the cutline of delicate narrow laces. The filaments weaved in between the narrow laces will dissolve in the following rinsing and dyeing. It can also be used as blend or coating of pure yarns and blended yarns, e.g. flax and ramie, to improve their weavability. PVA filaments can be well applied to double knit circular knitting machine to make loop-pile fabric. The loop pilling is interlaced with these filaments during weaving process, but released when the filaments dissolve in the later treatment, they will then extend and form a pile. Water-soluble PVA has been already one of the main materials used in hosiery industry nowadays.
