Silver retro-reflective EMBROIDERY THREAD
Retro- reflective thread
This thread appears a matte grey in a ordinary diffuse light but flashes a luminous silver when viewed from the same direction as a light source. It is spectacular in low light or at night.
The REFLECTIVE THREAD is composed of a thin strip of PVC coated with 50,000 minute glass beads per square inch. It is then plied with a reflective thread to give it enough strength to embroider with.
This beautiful Reflective Thread is perfect for machine embroidery, hand embroidery, lace making, knitting and weaving. For machine embroidery I have used it in both the top thread and bobbin.
Wash by machine or by hand on the gentle cycle in warm to cool water. Heat may cause shrinkage. Iron on cool and do not bleach.
The images show the reflective thread in a normal diffuse light and then with light shining on it.
Each hank holds a 100 metres and I can wind off larger quantities on demand. I have gone with hanks as bobbins are expensive to post.
