1. Antitumor Activity:

Rhein can inhibit melanoma Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma ,liver cancer, breast cancerand P338 leukemia cells.

2. Antibacterial Activity:

In the deepth of 1.5-25mg/ml,rhein can inhibit Staphylococcus, Streptococcus,diphtheria bacilli, Bacillus subtilis,Paratyphoid Bacilli,Bacillus dysenteriae etc.

3. Immunosuppression Effects:

Rhein organisms can inhibit the antibody production and suppress the capacity of carbon clearance, reducing the weight of immune organs the number of leukocytes.

4. Diuresis Effects:

Rhein can make the content of sodium and potassium increase,and the ureter peristalsis, increase in urine volume.

5. Diarrhea Effects:

Rhein has no role in diarrhea self,
