1. Damper and armor rods’ general technique condition is in accordance with GB 2314-1997 Ceneral technical requirements for electric power fittings.

2. Damper is in accordance with GB/T 2336-2000 technical requirements for damper.

Function and characteristics
It is one metal object hung on both side of high voltage cable. Its shape is like dumbbell. We can see it in any high voltage cable. It is mainly used to avoid the cable’s swing if there is heavy wind. Damper is made up of hammer, steel strand, stranded aluminium conductor and bolt.
In order to avoid and lighten the conductor’s vibration, we usually install some dampers around the suspension clamp. The damper will have a vertical motion when the conductor vibrates. As a result, it creates an asynchronous even reverse force to reduce the conductor amplitude even eliminate its vibration.
