Bright Silver Plating
Introduction
1. A cyanide type bright silver plating process.
2. Produces a mirror bright, soft-white, silver deposit to any practical thickness, which are extremely ductile and have excellent solderability.
3. Used for electrical and electronic as well as decorative applications.
4. Suited for either rack or barrel, bump and high speed plating.
Operating Conditions
Silver 30 to 36 g/L
DEUTEQ SILBRITE 930A 28 to 60 ml/L
DEUTEQ SILBRITE 930B 12 to 20 ml/L
Potassium Cyanide 90 to 135 g/L
DI Water Balance
pH 12.5 to 13.0
Temperature 20 to 32 °C
Anode-to-Cathode Ratio
Soluble anodes 2 to 1 or higher
Insoluble anodes 4 to 1 or higher
Cathode Current Density
Rack 15 ASF (1.5 A/dm2) 0.5 to 2.5 A/dm2
Barrel 5 ASF (0.5 A/dm2) 0.3 to 0.8 A/dm2
Time to Deposit 100 micro-inch
Rack at 15 ASF 2.5 minutes
Barrel at 5 ASF 7.5 minutes
