Characteristics of Eccentric Hemisphere Valve

One of characteristisc of eccentric hemisphere valve is no friction of on/off as it adopts an eccentric structure so that the ball is close to the seat gradualyy during the shut process until it contacts the off position completely; to open,the ball leaves away the sealing position to disconnect completsly with small opening torque;the second characteristic is the selt-cleaning of sealing surface as the medium can wash away the caaumulation on the sealing surface when the ball leaves away the seat; for those medium vulnerable to crystallization, the ball can cut off the medium crystal during the shut process for the purpose of sealing,thus avoiding the shortcoming of other valves which are incapable of on/off;the third is airtight sealing as the ball and the seat adopts bimetal with different processes so that the sealing surface can be combined into various types like corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance to meet needs for different working conditions while the sealing adopts the spherical line contact to achieve the zero leakage by the two-dimnsional eccentricity.

Working Principle

When the eccentric hemisphere valve rotates around the rotation center A with the ball driven by the stem, the ball moves from point B to point C and the trace from B to C presents a cam eccentricity relative to the valve center O:then the ball monves down into the seat to shut off the valve and keep airtight.Due to the above cam theory of the valve,the force on the seat increases gradually from the opening to the shut of the valve closing element,that is ,from complets detachment to contact between the closing element surface and the seat,and the sealing specific pressure also rises gradually up to the complete sealing;vice versa.That has improved the sealing state and effect of the traditional ball valve greatly,which is sitable for applications with high temperature and pressure as well as vulnerable to crystallization and abrasion.
