Description:Features: The American-pattern tank-type transformer (also called pad-mounted transformer) is small for its transformer interior, high-voltage load switch, protective fuse and other elements are all put into a sealed tank. It can be used outdoors and indoors, which makes it very applicable to such places as industrial zones, residential districts, downtown and in high buildings Advantage: 1) Complete and reliable functions: it has dual fuses to accomplish full range current protection and has two kinds of power supply: loop (including dual power supply) and radial feed to achieve the basic functions of a substation 2) Less investment, less space, easier installation and faster set up: save money: less investment than European-pattern tank-type transformer substations and the combination of a distribution transformer and a distribution house. Save space: smaller, about 1/3 the size of a like capacity European-pattern tank-type transformer substation, 1/5 the size of the combination of a distribution transformer and a distribution house. Save time: easier installation, only require to connect the incoming and outgoing cables at the site 3) Highly safe: all airtight design, grounding enclosure and no conductive parts on surface mean no need of dielectric clearance, which can reliably ensure personnel safety. High-voltage incoming lines use all insulating elbow inserts that are easy to put in and pull out. By operating with insulating stick it can also ensure personnel safety. Thief-proof structure can prevent accidental and malicious removal or damage. 4) Simple maintenance: plug-in fuse and elbow insert make component changing more convenient. All airtight seal separates oil from the air and the transformer is free of maintenance. 5) High protection level: high voltage switchgear and transformer interior are in one all airtight oil tank. It is difficult to contaminate the compartment, which makes American-pattern tank-type transformers suitable for poor condition locations such as mines, deserts, and plateaus.
