Wraparound sleeve another name is Heat Shrinkable Cable Repair Sleeve. It is made from crosslinked polyolefin, which equals or exceeds the material properties of the original cable jacket. CRSM sleeves fit a wide range of cable sizes and have unlimited shelf life.
Wraparound sleeve is mainly used for repairing outer/inner sheath/core damages on a HV cable and LV cable. They can also be used for protecting against corrosion on metallic parts of the cable that are exposed to the elements. use as insulation for jacket repair up to 35 kV or for general sealing applications
Wraparound sleeve is waterproof, they can be used to provide moisure-proof protection to corrosion-prone pipelines and processing accessories etc.
Wraparound sleeve provides a economic solution to cable repairs which would otherwise mean removing the offending section of cable, a comparatively costly process.
