HID stands for high intensity discharge. Its principle is to utilize anode and negative electricity to stimulate the xenon with the rare metal (xenon) to carry on the chemical reaction and then gives out 6,000K CT light (color temperature) that halogen light is difficult to achieve. The light at 6,000K is close to the sunlight at noon and comfortable to our eyes. Besides, the more time it is used, the more active the xenon molecule becomes, so the light will be brighter and brighter than before. In an HID xenon lighting system for automobile, the voltage between the two electrodes rises firstly from 12V to 23,000V and keeps stable at 80V by using the xenon HID ballast system. Due to the ultra high voltage, the xenon gas ionizes and a super-bright beam is produced.
