Pistons are used in front or rear shock absorbers from different automotives.

One of the most important type of shock absorber that is used by the manufacturers is non-

pressurized twin tube hydraulic shock absorber.This shock absorber comprises of a cylinder with a

piston moving inside it.The piston on the other hand consists of orifices that enables the fluid to flow

between the compression and rebound chambers.The displaced oil is collected in the storage tube

whereas the heat so generated is dissipated to the atmosphere.
