RTS Carbon created the JD Disk Wheel without any sacrifices. We made the disk wheel specifically for time trial events where aerodynamics and weight are the most important qualities.
It was made to be light enough for unparalleled wind penetration but light enough for blinding acceleration out of corners. The wheel was designed using T800 fibers to increase rigidity and durability but at the same time remains lighter than previous models. The hubs use smooth japanese stainless steel cartridge bearings with a new hub design that moves the flanges closer to the center of the hub for less frontal surface area on both front and rear wheels.
The Disk wheels are available for track in both front and rear tubular models. For road events, RTS Carbon only produces the rear tubular model. Each pair of wheels is supplied with titanium quick release skewers.
