Nomex IIIA interlock knitting fabric is a blend by 93% Nomex 5% of Kevlar and 2% P-140. NOMEX IIIA is an inherently flame-resistant, high-temperature resistant fiber which does not melt and drip from fire. A key factor in the protection provided by DuPont™ Nomex which its ability to carbonize and thicken when exposed to intense heat. This typical reaction increases the protective barrier between the heat source and the wearer’s skin and minimizes burn injury. 5% Kevlar provides additional strength and structural integrity when exposed to heat and flame. 2% P-140 fibers offerings for assured protection against electrostatic discharge hazards.
