Characteristics and Uses:
45Mn: quenched and tempered carbon steel, strength, toughness and hardenability of steel is higher than 45, obtained after quenching and good mechanical properties, cutting performance is still good, but poor weldability, cold plastic deformation is low, a tendency to temper brittleness, generally used in the quenched state, but also in the quenched and tempered or normalized state. Used in the manufacture of wear parts, such as axes, spindles, crank shaft, spline shaft, connecting rod, cardan shafts, meshing rod, gears, clutch plates, bolts, nuts and so on.
50Mn: strength, elasticity, hardness are high, multi-state in the use of quenching and tempering, and in some cases can also be used in the normalizing state, poor welding performance. High requirements for the manufacture of wear in the heat treatment under high load parts such as gears, gear shafts, friction disc and cross section below the 80mm spindle and so on.
