After many years experimenting with wire rods, Charles and Ray Eames represented a number of fantastic products in the 1950s, including this elliptical coffee table, small side tables, wire chairs, and other products.
Eames elliptical table is large, long and low. And it gives you lots of room to spread out or display a variety of items in living room, waiting room, or executive lounge.
The tabletop is made of seven layers of plywood sandwiched between black or white high-pressure laminate. The edge is beveled on a 20-degree angle to reveal the plies. The surface is coated in black or white. The base is made of U-shaped polished stainless steel rods attach to the tabletop; cross members add stability.
