Corn Fiber
Corn Fiber (Polylactic acid fiber, PLA fiber) is based on corn, potato and other starch material that is fermented into polylactic acid and then polymerized, tspun into bio-degradable fiber.
PLA fiber has outstanding properties such as excellent drapability, smooth, cooling, hygroscopicity, breathability, natural antibacterial and faintly acid, heat resistance, flame retardant and anti-UV function. It is glossy and elastic. All these characteristics make it has remarkable advantage for developing underwear and sportwear.
The fiber can be blended with cotton, wool and made into new textile products with so good luster, silk touch, hygroscopicity, fast dry, straight and elasticity.
Beside for clothing, it also widely used for construction, agriculture and forestry, fishery, paper industry, health care and home textiles. PLA fiber also can be used for bio-degradable packing materials.
