Specifications: The DECT Repeater can be deployed anywhere there is a need to extend the range of a standard GAP DECT phone. The DECT Repeater can also be implemented to establish a better or increased coverage in areas where coverage is limited or shielded from the base station. The DECT Repeater is designed in accordance with the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard. The DECT Repeater is compliant with CTR6, and is compatible with TBR22 (Generic Access Profile, GAP) specifications, as well as the ETSI Wireless Relay Station Specification ETS 300 700. Type approval testing reports are available on request. The DECT Repeaterhas two internal antennas and can be used to extend the effective range of any standard DECT GAP base station. The DECT Repeater software features the new unique automatic registration method. This registration method allows the repeater to automatically assign itself to any given DECT GAP base station. For the end-user, this means that the relatively long and sometimes complicated registration procedure is now obsolete. The user simply places the repeater in close proximity to the base station (within 2 metres), opens the base station for registration and turns on the repeater. The repeater then automatically assigns itself the first available RPN number. Once registered to the base station, the repeater can be turned off and brought to its fixed/specified location. If more repeaters have to be assigned to the same base station, the procedure just has to be repeated. The repeaters automatically keep track of the next available RPN number. A total of 6 repeaters can be assigned to each DECT GAP base station. The number of assigned repeaters has no influence on the number of handsets that can be registered to the base station.
