1.Do we really need workwear in working? 

     Workwears saves lives because of its significantly productions in injury, giving the wearer time to protect, increasing survival chances. Providing workwear demonstrates management's commitment to safety and employee well-being. It not only improves morale but also increases safety either. 

2.What do all these standards and test methods mean?

     Performance standards and test methods allow users to objectively evaluate materials, and define minimum performance criteria for fabrics or garments. Using workwear that meet performance standard requirements helps ensure people are wearing acceptable workwears.

4.How often does workwear have to be replaced?

     The life time of workwear is almostly dependent on the type of fabric used and the garment construction’s quality. Some types of garments can last more than 2 years, while other types may last 5 to 10 months. Garments should be replaced when they are beyond repair, contaminated, or aesthetically unacceptable.

5.When should workwear to be retired?

     Garments should be retired while they have holes or tears on thier surfaces that cannot be repaired, or while the fabric has thinned or become "thread bare". In addition, when the garments contaminated or cannot be adequately decontaminated should be removed from service.

Care & Maintenance

1.PROPER WEARING

    Workwear can provide the wearer protection if following garment manufacturers' recommendations for appropriate use.

*Wearing garments properly-         collars closed, sleeves and cuffs down and secured, shirt tails tucked, closures secured, and other manufacturer recommendated productions.

*Wearing looser-fitting garments can provide adequate mobility.

*Do not wear non-fire resistant clothings over the fire resistant garments.

*Washing garments carefully after each wearing in order to get rid of all contaminants.

*Do not put on the fire resistant garments in proximity of flammable gasses, vapors, dusts or in other potentially explosive environments.

* Consult employer if unsure.

*Washing new workwears prior to wearing.

*Washing workwears separately from other standard clothing.

*Do not use chlorine bleach.

*Making sure workwears are clean and in proper repair before each wearing.

*Removing oils and other contaminants from workwears.
