Ispaghula is a herbal medicinal plant cultivated in India mainly in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The seed of the Ispaghula plant are the primary part of the plant used in traditional herbal medicine. Ispaghula husk is the coating around the seed of the Ispaghula plant, which is used to relieve constipation, its completely natural. Psyllium seeds is an agri-farm product of dried ripe seeds of plantago ovata forks (farm. Plantaginancae) and it has been cleaned free for all dust, agri farm fibers, wastes, mud, stones and iron particles. |
Chemical Constituents: |
Mucilage mainly composed of arabinose, xylose, galacturonic acid, semi drying fatty oil and small amount of aucubin. |
Properties: |
Seed has property of mucilage formation on extraction of moisture. Psyllium seeds are cooling, laxative, soothing, anti-acidic, anti-diuretic and demulcent. |

Psyllium Husk Packing Weights / Volumes
- Jumbo HDPE bags : 950 kg.
- Conventional Gunny bags with inner food-grade poly-liner : 25 kg. & 40 kg.
- Paper bags with inner food-grade poly-liner : 10 kg., 20 kg. & 25 kg.
- Fibre drums - Fibre Paper drum and silver plated ring with inner poly-liner. Content Net Wt. 25-50 kg/drum.
(We can provide packing volume / weight as per specific customer requirements in any specified packing material)
Container stuffing information:
Approximately 9 M. Tonne per 20 feet container for psyllium husk and 19 M. Tonne for psyllium husk powder, without palletization. We have factory stuffing permission.
